NJCAA All-Region First Team Members Ashtyn Neill and Anna Waymaster
Former SWI Third Degree members Ashtyn Neill (Council Bluffs, Thomas Jefferson) and Anna Waymaster (Treynor) were recently named to the NJCAA All-Region First Team. Both attend Southwestern Community College in Creston, IA and have started for the Spartans for two years.
Northwest Missouri State Libero Paige Spangenberg
SWI Third Degree Alumni Paige Spagenberg (Red Oak) recently completed her Freshman season at NWMSU. Paige was the starting libero for all of the Bearcat matches. Paige was also the 2005 Daily Nonpariel SWI Player of the Year and First Team All-Stater.
Iowa Western Community College Middle Blocker Julia Kenealy
Third Degree Alum Julia Kenealy (Missouri Valley) is continuing her volleyball career at Iowa Western Community College. Julia was a member of the 2006 NJCAA Division I National Champion Iowa Western team. Congratulations Julia!
Northwest Missouri State Middle Blocker Amy Bohnker
Former Third Degree member Amy Bohnker (Underwood) is a member of the NWMSU Bearcat Volleyball team. Amy was recently named to the MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll announced by the conference office. All athletes on the list have maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Way to go Amy!
Wayne State College Outside Hitter Lea Hartigan
Third Degree Class of '07 Member Lea Hartigan (Treynor) is currently a member of the Wayne State College volleyball team. Lea has won many honors which include Omaha World Herald Western Iowa Female Athlete of the Year 2006-07, Iowa Class 2A Volleyball Player of the Year 2006, and was named First Team All-State as a junior and senior.
Missouri Western State University Right Side Michaela McElroy
Third Degree Alumni Michaela McElroy (Coon Rapids-Bayard) is currently a member of the Missouri Western volleyball team. Michaela began her collegiate volleyball career at Iowa Western and was a member of the 2006 NJCAA National Champion Team. Michaela was an Academic All-American at Iowa Western. Great job Michaela!
